Discovery Dominical

In Costa Rica, we serve two groups of people.

At the invitation of a local indigenous tribe called the Ngabe we have started a gardening and record keeping project to catalogue the medicinal and food plants that the tribe have traditionally used. This knowledge will help future generations stay connected to their historic practices.

We also serve the expat community in a surf town called Dominical (at this point, the majority of work is with the expat community).

In both these locations, there is a tremendous amount of spiritual hunger and curiosity, but the people in both groups have wounds from the modern traditional church setting, or simply don’t feel comfortable going to a traditional church building. Both groups are incredibly spiritually curious and looking for somewhere to meet together, encounter God and have fellowship. With Novo Canada’s coaching we plan on initiating discovery bible studies in safe third spaces and encourage people to be disciples who make disciples in simple reproducible ways.
