Team
Our staff is our greatest resource and we strive for excellence as we seek to create relational environments of mutual discovery and transformation.
Our full-time staff are:
Lisa Carrick
Lisa has been on staff with NOVO since 2017. She took on the role of interim President with Novo Canada in 2020. Currently she is focusing on leadership and organizational development, and coaching with teams located throughout the world.
Allen Chang
Allen has been pursuing disciple-making and gospel movement in Richmond, BC since 2017 with the Steveston Project, a network church of multiplying micro churches. This work was birthed in partnership with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada after God allowed Allen to discover the modern movements of the Holy Spirit that are occurring in the Majority World. His vision is to see a multitude of people transformed by the love of Jesus as all people are invited to discover Jesus and to respond with their lives in simple obedience.
Allen trained and worked as a mechanical engineer before being called to obtain theological and biblical training at Talbot Seminary in order to be equipped for a life of following Jesus. At seminary, God awakened a desire towards pastoral work which led him to pastor a Chinese church in Richmond, BC for nine years.
Allen and his wife Hannah are (tired) parents to two rascally and energetic school-aged boys.
Sam Kamminga
Sam serves with InnerCHANGE London, working to cultivate disciples of Jesus and develop local leaders who are marked by merciful action, transformative contemplation, and prophetic justice.
John Hall
John Hall started in his role of president of Novo Canada in March 2023. John comes to Novo after serving eight years as the Executive Director at Mission Central (formerly Missions Fest Vancouver). In 1997 he, his wife, and brother-in-law started Eco Outdoor Sports in Metro Vancouver. In 2003 John and Wei stepped out of the business to prepare for full-time ministry. During that time the Lord impressed on John and his family the importance of hearing and obeying Jesus every day, something that he tries to integrate into everything he does. In 2010 God changed the family’s direction and led him to finish his degree at Regent College in preparation for life as a full-time missionary. Now, with Novo, that journey continues with Canada as the focus for his missionary energy.
John, and his wife Wei, live in Richmond, BC. They have two wonderful adult girls. John completed his MA at Regent College in 2010.
